FILM & STAGE — BRAND USAGE GUIDELINES ===================================== FilmAndStageMagazine.com 1. THE MASTHEAD --------------- The Film & Stage logo functions as the masthead of a world-class publication. It must always read: FILM [red ampersand] STAGE — with FILM and STAGE fully capitalised and the custom red ampersand preserved. Approved usage only: FILM & STAGE (official lockup, red ampersand) Never use: Film & Stage / Film and Stage / FILM AND STAGE / film & stage / Film & stage / any lowercase, sentence-case, or "and" variant. 2. LOGO VARIANTS ---------------- - Primary logo .......... film-and-stage-logo-primary.svg - SVG master logo ....... film-and-stage-logo-master.svg - Horizontal logo ....... film-and-stage-logo-primary.svg (horizontal lockup) - White logo ............ film-and-stage-logo-white.svg / .png - Dark logo ............. film-and-stage-logo-dark.svg / .png - Monochrome (black) .... film-and-stage-logo-mono-black.svg / .png - Monochrome (white) .... film-and-stage-logo-mono-white.png - Emblem ................ film-and-stage-emblem-white.png - App icon .............. film-and-stage-icon-512.png Always prefer the SVG master for any scalable application. 3. PROTECTED AMPERSAND USAGE ---------------------------- The red, capital-E-style ampersand (#cc0000) is a FIXED VISUAL BRAND ASSET and a permanent, protected element of the Film & Stage identity — as recognisable as the Vogue masthead or the National Geographic frame. The ampersand: - Is rendered exclusively from the official SVG logo artwork. - Is NOT a font glyph and must NEVER be generated from typography. - Must NOT be substituted, recreated, redrawn, replaced, restyled, or approximated by any font, browser, operating system, font fallback, CMS content, or styling rule. - Retains identical shape, proportions, and geometry at every size. - Must be inherited — unchanged — by all future logo variants. In running typographic text where the logo file is not used, the brand name is set with the ampersand locked to brand red (#cc0000) so its appearance stays consistent with the official identity. 4. COLOUR --------- Brand Red (ampersand) ... #cc0000 Ink / Dark .............. #141210 Ivory ................... use on dark backgrounds for the wordmark 5. CLEAR SPACE & SIZING ----------------------- Maintain generous clear space around the logo equal to at least the height of the ampersand. Never crowd, rotate, skew, recolour the lettering arbitrarily, or place the logo on low-contrast backgrounds. © Film & Stage Magazine. All rights reserved.
